Solar Water

Sunlight has both heat & light. The
heat portion of solar energy is converted to thermal energy for
heating water. Solar water heating system consists of collector,
insulated hot water tank & allied piping. One of the areas of
applications of the solar thermal technology is heating of water
for domestic, commercial and industrial use. The radiation from
sun is collected by solar collectors, which convert the
radiation into heat energy which is contacted to water flowing
in the sister tube.
The water recycles to storage tank till evening The circulation
takes place through the natural process of convention (Thermosyphem)
for domestic system or by forced circulation with help of pump
for higher capacity systems. It also possible to use solar
energy for power generation. The solar water heating system can
be used for heating water upto 60 to 80 C. Soft loan is
available from IREDA, and some branches of Canara Bank, Union
Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of
